Housing Choice Voucher waiting list opens for a lottery

The Northgate Housing Authority will accept pre-applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting list from November 8, 2026 at 9:00 am until November 14, 2026 at 4:30 pm.

It does not matter when you apply during that week: after the list closes, 500 pre-applications will be chosen by computer lottery and placed on the waiting list in random order, then by local preference. Only one pre-application per household.

Apply online, or pick up a paper pre-application in the lobby of 400 Commerce Street. Help is available in Spanish and other languages, and as a reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities — call (973) 555-0100.

Read the waiting list notice for the income limits and preferences.
